Born in Zhejiang, China, Lin Ke（林科）is most known for his radically experimental body of digital works. Using his laptop as his studio space, Lin explores the various vicissitudes of the internet, using various software applications in ways they are not commonly used. Thoroughly ground-breaking and postmodern in ideology, Lin pushes back against the behavioural and phenomenological structures technology reinforces in our lives, betraying ideologies associated with traditional art making, and reclaiming cyberspace for mankind’s liberty to play.
Lin graduated from the New Media Arts Department of the China Academy of Art in 2008. He has been producing and exhibiting works internationally over the past half a decade, notably in Minsheng Art Museum Shanghai, Padiglione d'Arte Contemporanea Museum Milan, Museum Folkwang Essen, Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo, Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland and The Museum of Contemporary Art Los Angeles. He also gained major critical acclaim by winning the OCAT - Pierre Huber Art Prize in 2014, and the Chinese Youth Artist Award of the 9th AAC Art 2015. Ke is based in Shanghai, China.
