- Provide exhibition tours for gallery visitors and guests
- Properly manage the gallery space and ensure that gallery decorum is maintained
- Provide exceptional service to visitors and guests, and direct inquiries to appropriate personnel
- Provide primary support in generating and copyrighting content for EDM (Electronic Direct Mail), press releases, and online and social media platforms
- Manage workload diligently and communicate concerns and solutions to gallery team efficiently and effectively
Candidate Requirements:
- Possesses excellent communication skills
- Fluent in Written and Spoken English
- Bilingual; high proficiency in Written and Spoken Mandarin is a plus. This is to facilitate translation and communication with the gallery’s Chinese-speaking clients
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- Possesses skills for basic graphic design work is a plus
- Possesses strong interest in Fine Art and art history
- Possesses exceptional customer service skills
- An independent and keen learner who actively contributes initiatives towards the gallery operation efficiency
- Detail oriented for administrative work
- Confident in social media posting
- Can commit to flexible working days and hours when required
- Adhere to gallery’s Standard of Practices
- Perform all other ad hoc duties when assigned

- Conduct sales and assist the director in planning and executing the sales strategy
- Introducing new clients to the gallery as well as seeking new clients (local and international)
- Assisting our existing clients and cultivating further opportunities for business growth.
- Selling gallery programme at art fairs, exhibitions, and events, effectively meeting sales targets
- Assist the director by producing artwork market reports and sales research
- Cultivate relationships with institutions and corporate partners
- Maintaining relationships while promoting other avenues of revenue.
- Using your strengths to maintain and grow 39+ Art Space’s presence in the market and increase its market share.
- Suggest and plan our participation in international art fairs.
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in a commercial gallery, auction house, or art consultancy
- A proven track record of sales is required
- Sufficient knowledge of local and international art markets is a must
- A self-starter who will take immediate responsibility for their role and tasks
- A target-oriented go-getter who will not hesitate to take initiative
- An independent team player who can work seamlessly with the gallery team
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Multi-task with strong time management capabilities
- A degree in History of Art or Art Business is preferable
- Fluency in English and Chinese (both written and spoken) is a must.
- Able to work weekends and evenings.
