39+ Art Space is proud to present Chinese artists, Fang Wei (b. 1968), Su Chang (b. 1985), Wang Yi (b. 1991) and Laotian-Australian artist, Savanhdary Vongpoothorn (b. 1971) at Booth 1C04 of the inaugural edition of ART SG. The gallery is also in ART SG’s NEW/NOW list, presenting Korean-American artist, Sarah Lee (b. 1990). The group show will comprise of new acrylic paintings and mixed media sculptures.
Each of the 4 extraordinary artists of Asian descent will be presenting work in different mediums citing exploratory techniques. Tactility of perforated canvases, large-scale illusionary, surreal visuals, and uncanny subversions of the mundane in sculptural forms. Through practical diversity, it reveals each artist’s contemplations of nature and reflections towards their increasingly globalising culture.
